As of 7 o clock this morning, it is official: 22/23 has taken the #1 spot for SNOWIEST SEASON ON RECORD! When we first reported snow this morning at 4:58 am, about 6 inches had fallen and it was still coming down. This means that at 5am, we had 706 inches of snow so far this season, and we knew we only needed 2 more inches to beat our all-time season snowfall record of 707 inches…
While skiing and riding are our favorite activities in spring, the longer (and warmer) days allow us to enjoy other activities after making some turns. These are our favorite pastimes we recommend you squeeze in before or after hitting the slopes:
It’s official – we’ve reached the 700″ mark for snowfall this season! That’s right, you read that correctly – 700 INCHES of snow have blanketed our mountain since the start of the season. For context, our average seasonal snowfall is a whopping 400 inches. Can you believe it? We certainly can’t, but we’re not complaining. And the best part? There are many days of epic skiing and riding still ahead of us, as we’ll be keeping our lifts spinning all the way through the 4th of July!
We received 191 inches of snow in March, bringing our season total to 692 inches. That’s 173% of our annual season average of 400 inches! This is the 3rd largest March snowfall we’ve seen in the last 22 years.
The Military to the Mountains program at Palisades Tahoe aims to introduce wounded warfighters, veterans, and first responders to the healing effects of skiing and snowboarding after 9 weeks of personal training.
