Over the past 10 days, Palisades Tahoe was proud to host the Stifel US Ski Team for spring training. With the longest ski season in Lake Tahoe and one of the longest seasons nationwide, we are an ideal venue for late-season conditioning.
March at Palisades Tahoe was filled with unforgettable moments, and at the forefront of it all was our official Palisades Tahoe Athlete Team. Conditions on the hill were incredible, with a nice mix of sunny days and stormy weather. Here are some highlights of the last days of deep winter:
Men’s Snowboard athlete Tilden Wooley becomes the newest Team Palisades Tahoe alumni to qualify for the Freeride World Tour. He is one of 9 Region 2 Riders to Qualify for FWT25 following the 2024 Kirkwood IFSA Challenger this past Monday, April 1. Tilden started with Team Palisades Tahoe around the age of 10, and now this season he qualifies for FWT25 at just 21 years old.
The weekend of March 16th and 17th marked a monumental achievement for Team Palisades Tahoe. Our Freeride athletes showcased their skills at the Kirkwood International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association (IFSA) Junior 3* event, which was the final showdown of the season for the IFSA Junior series. Securing an impressive 19 top 5 finishes across 7 categories, clinching the #1 spot in each, it is clear that Team Palisades Tahoe exemplifies the future of Freeride ski and snowboard athletes.
February was another great month for our Athlete Team! We are particularly grateful for the support we received from our crew during the Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup. Jonny Moseley, Daron Rahlves, Travis Ganong, Bryce Bennett, & AJ Hurt each played a significant role in our Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup programming.
