Monday System:
The next storm moves through from the north on Monday with some clouds, cooler air, and breezy winds. Highs in the 30s on the mountain and near 40 at the base. We could see a few snow showers move through. Ridgetop winds gusting 30-40+ mph from the west.
More numerous snow showers expected Monday night. We could see a coating up to a couple of inches of snow by Tuesday morning.
Windy Tuesday:
Mostly sunny Tuesday but colder with gusty northeast winds. Highs in the 30s with 20s possible up top. Northeast winds could gust up to 80+ mph up top through the day. That could affect some upper mountain lifts. That will also cause wind chills to make it feel even colder than the air temperatures.
Nicer Wednesday:
High pressure builds in Wednesday. We should see mostly sunny skies and highs warming into the 40s on the mountain. We could have some gusty east winds first thing in the morning but winds should come down through the day.
Thursday System:
We will see another system move through from the north on Thursday. That will bring another shot of cooler air, breezy winds, and maybe a few clouds. Highs dropping back into the 40s at the base and 30s on the upper mountain. Most of the moisture with this system is expected to stay to our east.
Long-Range:
Right now the pattern looks much drier and milder starting Friday through the end of the month. We will likely see mostly sunny skies with temperatures warming into the 40s Friday and 50s for the weekend.
Some long-range continue to suggest we possibly transition back to a more active pattern the first week of April. We’ll continue to watch the trends on that.
