The holiday season is in full swing. Our events and activities schedule is jam-packed over the next few days. You won’t want to miss out on these fun and spirited occasions! While this tends to be one of our busiest times of the year, the forecast is shaping up to be very dynamic. We are expecting an influx of weather that is a wintry mix (meaning rain and snow) which could impact our operations at times. This will be a busy time, but with a little patience, you are sure to enjoy yourself. We have fun, family-friendly events and activities going on, and the skies will be clear and sunny!
After kicking off the winter season earlier this month, Palisades Tahoe is slated to debut the long-awaited Base to Base Gondola in mid-December with a full day of festivities to ring in a new era at the resort. The Base to Base Gondola Grand Opening Celebration will take place on Saturday, December 17, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony, special performances, fireworks, and more. The event is free and open to the public.
It’s been a snowy week at Palisades Tahoe! Mother nature has delivered an incredible 39 inches of snow on our upper mountain in the past 7 days – that’s OVER 3 FEET! Because of this early November storm, we are able to open 4 days early. The 2022-23 winter season will officially be kicking off at Palisades Tahoe on Friday, November 18! We can’t WAIT to see you back on the mountain.

We are devastated watching the Caldor Fire threaten our neighbors in the Tahoe region. As of Monday morning, South Lake Tahoe and the West Shore of Lake Tahoe to the El Dorado County line are under mandatory evacuation orders.
