Thursday – Friday:
Mostly sunny skies and highs into the 50s on the mountain through Friday.
Weekend Storm:
We will see increasing clouds, colder air, and strong winds Saturday. Highs only in the 40s on the mountain with ridgetop winds gusting up to 70+ mph, likely affecting upper mountain lift operations. We could see a few scattered showers Saturday with snow levels around 7500-8000 ft. falling to around 7000 ft. by evening.
Saturday night the snow levels drop below the base. Heavier snow moves in later in the evening into Sunday. Up to a few inches of snow possible on the mountain by Sunday morning.
Then windy with snow expected for Sunday with several inches possible during the day. Ridgetop winds still gusting up to 60+ mph from the southwest up top, likely continuing to affect some lifts. Highs only in the 30s.
Snow showers could linger into Monday morning, but we should clear out Monday with some sun by afternoon and winds dropping off. Highs in the 30s on the upper mountain and 40s at the base.
Snowfall totals by Monday morning could be around 4-8 inches at the base and 8-16 inches on the mountain from bottom to top.
Long-Range:
High pressure is expected to build back in by Tuesday. We should see mostly sunny skies through the end of next week. Highs warming into the 40s up top and 50s at the base Tuesday and then 50s starting Wednesday to around 60 degrees at the base by later in the week.
A storm or two could bring some precip during the 1st week of May. We will keep an eye out for any storms.
