Snowfall Report:
The mountain picked up 1″ at the base and 2″ up top from the snow showers Friday. We were expecting 1-4″ so no surprises with this small storm.
The Weekend:
We are expecting beautiful weather this weekend. It starts chilly behind the cold front Saturday with highs in the 30s. But sunny skies and light winds are expected both Saturday and Sunday. Highs in the 30s both days and approaching 40 degrees at the base Sunday.
The Week Ahead:
For most of the week, we are expecting mostly sunny skies. Maybe a few clouds Monday and Thursday from weak systems moving through. We will keep an eye on Thursday to see if a stray shower or two are possible. Then dry again Friday. Highs in the 40s at the base and 30s up top.
Long-Range:
The drier pattern is forecast to continue for the next 2 weeks. That doesn’t mean weak systems couldn’t sneak in with light showers. It does mean the pattern is set up in a way that shouldn’t allow any significant storms into northern CA.
The next chance of a weak system could be Sunday the 16th. But overall not expecting much precipitation through at least the 22nd. We’ll let you know when we see signs of significant storms returning.
