This week’s update was written by Jacy Lentini, Terrain Parks Supervisor.
Gold Coast Terrain Park
What’s new after an 8-foot storm in Tahoe? Lots of rebuilding, shoveling, and fun. In Gold Coast, we were able to start putting features back in by March 5th.
- Snowcat work has begun to put jumps back up in Gold Coast (Small and Medium jumps are currently available in Belmont).
- For features, we have 6 rails, a rainbow rail, an S-Rail, 2 standalone tubes, & much more to come.
- There is also a slip below the jump knuckles.
SAFETY REMINDERS
- Jibs are designed & intended for sliding Boxes/Rails only. (Takeoffs are not jumps.)
- Jumps are NOT designed to air off the Knuckles/Rollers.
- All jumps will be marked with flags.
- Start small & know your speed.
Belmont Terrain Park
We did a daytime Belmont on March 6th, and we think it turned out proper… Here’s what to expect:
- Small to Medium & Small jumps! There is a 3-pack of jumps with the 3rd being a sister takeoff. There are also 4 Small jumps in the start park area.
- 12 jibs are in.
- A Box Line with U to Down Box combo
- Rail Line with 3 of the most necessary styles… Flat, Up, & Down
- The Plaza after our main Belmont jump line has been reworked as well with at fun stall at the top.
Alpine Tiegel Terrain Park
Tiegel will begin reconstruction tonight (the night of the 7th) to get the Alpine side set up for the weekend.
- The small jump line will return.
- We hope to add some small but creative jibs as well.
