It’s getting warmer, which means we need to shift our daily operation schedule and open earlier. This is standard practice for us in the Springtime in order to have optimal snow conditions for skiing and snowboarding. Here’s what you should expect:
This Weekend:
- Both Palisades and Alpine will be 9am-4pm through the weekend (Sunday, April 28th).
- Sunday, April 28th is Alpine’s Closing Day.
- At Palisades, Resort Chair and Red Dog will close on the 28th as well
After This Weekend:
- Starting Monday, April 29th, Palisades will be open daily from 8am-2pm.
- KT-22 will stay open ’til it can’t anymore. With the current state of the snowpack, we’re hoping it will make it through the week of the 29th. For some context, we have stopped grooming the lower portion of the Saddle already due to the thin snowpack and we are doing daily maintenance to keep CII Ridge open.
- Palisades’ Closing Day is scheduled for May 27th, (Memorial Day) weather and conditions permitting. We will provide another update soon once we have a clearer understanding of what will make it through the end of the month. Shirley Lake and Gold Coast are usually a good bet, but we’re hoping we’ll have more than that.
