As stated in our first operations blog of the season, Palisades will open on Wednesday, November 22nd with First Venture chairlift in the base area. By Saturday, we expect to expand our terrain to include Treeline Cirque to mid-station at Alpine. Thank you, snowmakers!
Lift + Terrain Updates:
- First Venture will be open daily from 9am-4pm starting on Wednesday, November 22nd. There will be a small Terrain Park setup on First Venture, likely with 3 features. The Ahsoka carpet will also be open from 9am-4pm.
- Treeline Cirque will be open to the mid-station daily from 9am-4pm starting Saturday, November 25th.
- The Base to Base Gondola will be open to carry passengers between base areas on weekends during this early season period. It will operate from 9am-4pm when it is open. See below for the full schedule.
- The Aerial Tram will be open for sightseeing only from 10am-3pm through Sunday, November 26th.
Base to Base Gondola Schedule:
- Open November 25th-26th (Saturday/Sunday)
- Closed November 27th-December 1st (Monday-Friday)
- Open December 2nd-3rd (Saturday/Sunday)
- Closed from December 4th-7th (Monday-Thursday)
- Open Friday, December 8th, likely for the season
Weather Outlook
- Wednesday, November 22nd: Partly sunny with temperatures up to 50 degrees
- Thursday, November 23rd: Sunny with a high up to 40 degrees
- Friday, November 24th: Sunny with a high of 31 degrees
- Saturday, November 25th: Sunny with a high of 32 degrees
- Sunday, November 26th: Sunny with a high of 36 degrees
Right now, we’re not seeing any potential snowfall until the 28th. However, temperatures have been pretty cold and late next week looks especially good to continue with snowmaking. We are making snow at every opportunity (including up at Gold Coast). Whenever a weather event is expected to move in, Bryan Allegretto of OpenSnow will post his forecast on our Weather Blog.
