6 Feet of Snow so Far on the Upper Mountain
We’ve received 76″ (over 6 FEET) of new snow on the upper mountain in the past 2 weeks, making for some incredible early season skiing & riding!
Terrain Expansion Saturday at Alpine Meadows
All this new snow means new terrain! Subway, Meadow and the beginner carpets have been added to tomorrow’s schedule in time for our $79 Learn to Ski & Ride Special this weekend.
And our Mountain Ops crews are working to put the final touches on Scott Chair AND Sherwood Express to open Saturday! Tomorrow Ski Patrol will finish putting out safety markings and boundaries, lift maitenance will finish preparing and testing the lifts, and our groomers will lay down the initial grooming and build the ramps at both chairs.
What’s Next at Squaw Valley
Squaw crews are working equally hard to expand terrain and charlifts in the very near future. They are working on making lift ramps, putting in additional safety roads, and testing all lifts and backup systems. Stay tuned… we will announce more Squaw Valley openings once they are confirmed!
