February has been the snowiest month of the 2024- 2025 season so far, stacking up an impressive 8.92′ feet of snow at 8,000′ feet! We still have one more week in February, and the forecasts call for sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Maybe Miracle March will sneak in and take the cake for the snowiest month this season…
Weather
Expect mostly sunny skies through Saturday with highs in the 40s before the high-pressure ridge shifts on Sunday, potentially bringing some clouds and scattered showers through Monday. On Tuesday, sunny skies are forecast to return and stick around through next Friday.

Conditions
As of Friday morning, the snow has stayed cold and there is beautiful wind-buff and chalky snow around the mountain. With warmer temperatures rolling in, our conditions could change for more variable and wetter snow. Suggestion: stick to Northern-facing aspects that have stayed out of the sun and in the shade.

Operations
For the upcoming weekend, every lift across the resort is scheduled except for Exhibition. You can still access the terrain by riding up KT-22. With all of our terrain accessible, it is important that you ride within your ability level. While we have plenty of beginner and intermediate terrain, we also have a lot of expert zones with large cliffs, chutes and hazards. Please pay attention to all signage as it is there for your safety.
Expanding Your Ability Level
Rather than pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and into terrain you are unfamiliar with, consider taking a Mountain Sports School lesson, or hiring a Mountain Guide. Our Mountain Sports School Instructors can help you learn and take your first turns or enhance your technical skills to conquer more of the mountain. On the other hand, if you are already an advanced to expert skier or rider, but are unfamiliar with our mountain, consider hiring a Mountain Guide. Our experienced guides will show you the best snow of the day and the locals’ favorite lines while providing a completely tailored experience for you. For an extended immersive experience, check out our 3-Day All Mountain Experience Camp, March 3-5.
Mountain Surf Report with Daron Rahlves

Live Music at KT Bass Bar
The KT Bass Bar Music Series is the newest and liveliest activation at Palisades Tahoe. Presented by Coca-Cola, this series takes place 25 times throughout the season, bringing vibrant energy and an active après-ski scene to the KT Base Bar Deck. On February 22, you can enjoy a set from DJ KA5 starting at 2:00 p.m., and then stick around for DJ Logic, one of the world’s most accomplished turntablists from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Parking
As a reminder, parking reservations are required every weekend and select holiday periods. Unless it is a holiday period, midweek parking remains free and first come, first served. We recommend carpooling as a great way to make sure all your friends get to the mountain to ride together. If you are trying to get to the mountain without your personal vehicle, there are other free options: the Sherwood Shuttle, the Mountaineer Shuttle, which offers free rides in Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows, TART, and the free Park and Ride, available in both Truckee and Tahoe City with frequent rides between 6:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.
