Wednesday – Friday:
Mostly sunny skies and highs into the 50s on the mountain through Friday.
Weekend Storm:
We will see increasing clouds, colder air, and strong winds Saturday. Highs only in the 40s on the mountain with ridgetop winds gusting up to 80+ mph, likely affecting upper mountain lift operations. We could see a few scattered showers Saturday with snow levels around 7500-8000 ft.
Saturday night the snow levels drop below the base. We could see light snow move in overnight. Then windy with heavier snow expected for Sunday with several inches possible during the day. Ridgetop winds still gusting 60-70+ mph from the southwest up top, likely continuing to affect some lifts. Highs only in the 30s.
Snow showers could linger into Monday morning, but we should clear out Monday with some sun by afternoon and winds dropping off. Highs in the 30s on the upper mountain and 40s at the base. Snowfall totals by Monday morning could be around 4-8 inches at the base and 8-16 inches on the mountain from bottom to top.
We will continue to fine-tune the details as we get closer.
Long-Range:
High pressure is expected to build back in by Tuesday. We should see mostly sunny skies into Wednesday with highs warming into the 40s up top and 50s at the base.
A storm moving through to our north later next week could brush us with a few showers next Thu-Fri.
