Sunday Thru the Week Ahead:
Over the next week, through next weekend, we are expecting mostly sunny skies. Maybe a few clouds Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from weak systems moving through and falling apart as they encounter high-pressure anchored over the West.
Highs in the 40s at the base and 30s up top. The winds look fairly light through the end of the week. Overnight inversions are expected with the warmest lows up top and coldest at the base of the mountain.
Long-Range:
The drier pattern is forecast to continue week 2, next Sunday the 16th through the 22nd. That doesn’t mean weak systems couldn’t sneak in with light showers. It does mean the pattern is set up in a way that shouldn’t allow any significant storms into northern CA. If that changes we’ll let you know.
Super Long-Range:
The forecast for the 3rd week, Sunday the 23rd through the end of the month, the long-range models suggest the pattern could begin to shift, with storms possibly returning the last few days of the month. Hopefully, that shift happens sooner.
I won’t be posting daily when the forecast is the same with mostly sunny skies out beyond a weak. I will continue to update every other day or so on the long-range outlook as we look at when storms could return.
