Snowfall Report:
The mountain is reporting an additional 3 inches of new snow from the snow showers on Thursday. That brings the storm totals to 6 inches. That is at the low end of my pre-storm forecast for 6-11 inches, but we’ll take it! The season total is now up to 62 inches.
Friday – Monday:
We should see mostly sunny skies Friday through Monday. Breezy north winds gusting to 40+ mph up top for Friday and then lighter winds expected for the weekend. Highs in the 30s on the mountain Friday and then 40s for the weekend.
Early Next Week:
A dry trough moving through Tuesday could bring breezy conditions again along with a shot of some colder air for the middle of next week. Highs dropping into the 30s.
Long-Range:
The dry pattern may continue through at least Christmas Day. Then possibly transitioning back into an unsettled pattern for the last several days of the month into January. Some models show the chance for storms breaking back into CA as early as Christmas night while others hold off on any storms until around the 28th.
More on that as we get closer…
