It certainly has been a memorable year: historic snowfall events, pulling off the near-impossible Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup, skiing into July, completing new snowmaking lines, kicking off another winter season… the list goes on and on! As we look forward to creating more cherished memories together in 2024, let’s take a look back at the highlights of the unforgettable 2023.
That’s a wrap on the incredible 2022/23 winter season. After an unbelievable 723 inches of snowfall and skiing that lasted into the month of July, it feels surreal to finally be saying goodbye to one of the most historic and memorable seasons we’ve ever had. The huge amount of snowfall (our season average is only 400 inches!) made for some extreme working conditions, but our teams persevered through every obstacle: digging out their own homes, driving in treacherous conditions, and working throughout every blizzard to keep these mountains open. We are ALL excited to have a few months of sun, and a break from digging out.
rom one of our earliest opening dates ever to skiing and riding until Memorial Day, here’s to Tahoe’s longest season and another winter we won’t forget! Take a look back at some of our favorite memories from the 21/22 season.
That’s a wrap on the 2020/21 season and 174 days of operations! While many things looked different this winter, we are incredibly grateful to have been open for nearly 6 months of skiing and riding—especially given the uncertainty we faced at the start of the season. We truly appreciate the resiliency of our employees, skiers & riders, and the Tahoe community as you adapted with us to make it all possible. THANK YOU.
After 719″ of cumulative snowfall (nearly 60 FEET), the snowiest month on record (#februBURIED), 212 days of winter operations, and skiing until July 7, this incredible 2018/19 season at Palisades Tahoe has finally come to a close.
After 60 feet of cumulative snowfall, 10 Atmospheric Rivers, the snowiest month on record (#januBURIED), and 200 days of winter operations during this incredible 2016-17 season, Palisades Tahoe is officially closed for skiing and riding until the fall.
What a season we’ve had so far, and it’s still going. Take a look back at some of the season milestones that led to what might be the longest season ever!
As 2016 comes to a close we wanted to look back on our favorite moments from 2016 with you, so without further ado:
