While skiing and riding are our favorite activities in spring, the longer (and warmer) days allow us to enjoy other activities after making some turns. These are our favorite pastimes we recommend you squeeze in before or after hitting the slopes:
Spring skiing at the iconic Spring Skiing Capital™ offers thrilling, one-of-a-kind adventures you won’t find anywhere else! We asked Ski Patroller Curtis Crooks to give the lowdown on his favorite way to ski Palisades in the spring. Here’s what he recommends:
In a recent accolade from the prestigious Wall Street Journal, Palisades Tahoe secured the coveted title of the best ski resort in the United States and ranked an impressive second in all of North America. This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment sharing the spirit of our legendary mountains with the world. We strive for excellence, offering an unparalleled skiing or snowboarding experience amidst the breathtaking backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, just a few miles down the road from Lake Tahoe itself.
From April 5 to April 7, WinterWonderGrass returns to the valley for three days of bluegrass and beer. In addition to the ticketed festival, there are also some free shows around the mountain. We’ve compiled everything you need to know to help you travel safely and responsibly, from parking to transportation. We hope you have a great time!
Tahoe locals and frequent visitors alike know that the month of March is the “sweet spot” for some of the best skiing and riding you’ll get all season, every season. At this point in the year, we have solid snowpack and our highest percentage of open terrain. This means that there’s space to spread out and plenty of different trails to choose from.
Spring season is upon us! While many people associate the Golden State with sunny skies and beaches, California also has some of the country’s most ripping terrain when it comes to skiing & snowboarding. The best way to hit as much of it as you can is with an Ikon Pass, which will soon be on sale for the 24-25 season. Another Ikon Pass bonus? Get free spring skiing access in 2024 at all California destinations.
