So, you’ve made it to Lake Tahoe—arguably the most Instagram-worthy spot in Northern California. Up to you to decide! Beyond the beautiful blue waters and breathtaking shoreline, you’ll find another awe-inspiring sight: the majestic granite peaks of Palisades Tahoe. Welcome to our little slice of high alpine paradise! Whether you’re here for a ski vacation with your hardcore shredder friends, a family getaway, or simply to soak up the après-ski vibes and fresh mountain air, we’ve got you covered. We’ve handpicked the absolute best spots for you to snap some killer pics.

Olympic Rings

For a perfect snapshot capturing the essence of the Olympic spirit, visit our iconic Olympic Rings. This iconic symbol of the 1960 Winter Olympics is located at the base of the Funitel in The Village at Palisades Tahoe, across from the Ticket Office. Pose with the rings here and you have a good chance of capturing the Funitel traveling overhead in the background!

High Camp Deck

High Camp is a must-visit spot for any Palisades Tahoe visitor, and the deck offers unparalleled views of the mountains and the valley below. You’ll find plenty of photo opportunities here, including another chance to capture a different set of Olympic Rings that hang high above the valley view.

The Chalet

Located between the bases of Scott and Yellow chairlifts at Alpine, The Chalet is a cozy on-mountain spot that’s perfect for an Instagram shot. Grab a hot drink or one of the popular giant pretzels and snap a photo of your winter getaway.

The Palisades/Top of Siberia

For the more adventurous, head to the top of Siberia. This expert-only terrain boasts some of the most challenging runs at Palisades Tahoe, paired with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The highlight, of course, is the breathtaking sight of our namesake, the Palisades formation, sweeping along the skier’s right of Siberia Bowl. For absolute expert skiers and riders, a hike to the top of the Palisades offers an unparalleled experience.
