The stoke was high this morning with Alpine reporting 13” of new snowfall in the last 24 hours. The Summit and Roundhouse lift corrals were full by 9am as people were excited to ski all of that fresh new snow. On our first chair ride up, we saw lots of back seat bandits flying down the hill, really having difficulty making turns. The best turns were definitely higher up the mountain in the morning. North Peril specifically had my favorite turns. I hit a lot of icy bumps under the surface when trying to ski Pete’s Peril today. The Palisades zone also had some decent snow in it, but the visibility was not as good.
