Photographer Spotlight: Hunter Lamer, Palisades Grooming

Palisades Tahoe Snowcat captured by Hunter Lamer

Hunter Lamer is one of our secret weapons. At four a.m. on storm days, Hunter can usually be found operating a snowcat. This means that we can send him a request for certain photos and we are always sure to get a response with exactly what we were looking for, captured masterfully.

Hunter’s dad is the one who got him into photography. When Hunter was in high school, his father convinced him to take a black and white film photography course, and that started it all.

If you know Hunter, you’ll recognize that he’s a keen observer who is always grabbing a few shots of his current activities. He is especially talented when it comes to capturing nature and wildlife. When Hunter is not working, he’s traveling to cool places, learning the history of each spot, and sharing both photos and stories about where he’s been.

Hunter has been in Lake Tahoe for four years now, and he’s worked at Palisades Tahoe the whole time. Here are some of our favorite photographs from Hunter:
