We officially broke our 45 year record for most snowfall in one month! The biggest snowfall we saw in one month prior was 202″ in 2011. This morning, we surpassed that with 212″ and it’s only January 20, 2017 with plenty more snow in the forecast through Monday. Weather Update from National Weather Service on January 21, 2017
“The second in a series of three storms will impact the Sierra and western Nevada today. The third storm will be a major winter storm which will impact the region Saturday night into Sunday. Significant winter weather driving slow downs will continue in the Sierra and western Nevada into next week. Much drier weather is expected for the middle of next week.” – NOAA Weather Discussion
