As we head into the first weekend of May, Palisades Tahoe is the last mountain standing in Tahoe. We are open daily through May 26th, but operations are shifting to maximize our conditions.
Weather
There’s a 40% chance of showers on Saturday and Sunday, with snow levels fluctuating between 7,500′ and 8,900′ during the day. This means we’ll likely see scattered rain showers at the base, with a rain/snow mix on our upper mountain. While it may get a bit wet out there at times this weekend, it appears this weather won’t have any major impact on our operations. Looking to Monday and the week ahead, we’ll see a return to sunny spring skiing conditions with highs in the 50’s and 60’s, and overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s. With overnight lows staying mostly above freezing, snow will melt quickly. As the snow melts, obstacles such as rocks and grass will start to poke through, particularly on lower-mountain runs or runs with high levels of sun exposure. Be cognizant of these hazards and remember to obey all signage about closed terrain.
Lift & Terrain Updates
With Alpine closed for the season, and a dwindling base on the lower mountain, most of what we’re skiing is on the upper mountain at Palisades. KT-22 is still hanging on, and our aim is to keep it open daily through next weekend.

Cushing Crossing rescheduled
