Remy has been a vital force within the HR team, stepping up with confidence through multiple transitions and taking on a wide range of roles—from Benefits Lead and Internal Communications Liaison to Learning Partner and Wellbeing Committee member. Known for her reliability, flexibility, and proactive spirit, she’s a trusted teammate who consistently supports those around her. Outside of work, Remy channels that same passion into her role as a Freestyle Judge for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association, recently judging the U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championships at Palisades Tahoe and continuing to officiate events around the world. Her dedication to both the workplace and the ski community embodies the heart and soul of Palisades Tahoe.
Fun Facts:
What is the favorite part of your job? “My favorite part about my job is getting to meet and interact with employees in every single department throughout Palisades. By working in HR, we get the opportunity to build connections, help solve challenges and contribute to the culture of the company. Also, I love being a part of a team that shares a common love of skiing and the mountains.”
How do you feel you share the spirit of our legendary mountains? “Being in HR, I feel like we share the spirit of these legendary mountains with our employee every single day. Whether its hosting employee events or being able to help out when problems arise, we get to contribute to the culture of the resort as a whole.”
Of the four company values (Prioritizing Purpose, Honoring Authenticity, Cultivating Collaboration, Embracing Empowerment), which of these resonate most with you today? “Honoring Authenticity resonates with me most today. I find it amazing how Palisades, and Alterra as a whole, truly values that each resort remains true to who they are. Every single employee is so unique and contributes to what Palisades is all about.”
What was your favorite vacation, where did you go, what made it special? “My favorite vacation was to Thailand with my brother. We travelled all over the country, but my favorite location was the Phi Phi Islands. It was so beautiful and so much fun! We spent a day snorkeling and saw so many incredible fish and coral reefs.”
What’s the most interesting fun fact about yourself? “I have been judging Freestyle Skiing competitions for three seasons now. I love it! It has taken me to a lot of different resorts – Waterville, NH / Stratton, VT / Winter Park, CO / etc. This year was extra special because I had the opportunity to judge Nationals here at Palisades.”
What’s your favorite animal and why? “I love both dogs and cats! I am absolutely obsessed with my brother’s basenji, Koa. She is the sweetest pup and best hiking buddy.”
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? “I would love to be able to teleport. It would save so much time! It would be so fun to teleport to Italy for pasta, Hawaii to lay on the beach for an hour, or even to the top of a ski run so that I could skip the lift line on busy days.”
