Known for his professionalism and easygoing nature, Ernie’s influence extends well beyond the Security team. His ability to collaborate with other departments, think strategically, and act quickly has helped streamline efforts resort-wide and strengthen our guest experience. And let’s be honest—he’s just a really cool guy to work with.

What is the favorite part of your job? “Watching the Mighty Mites early loading onto the Funi – makes my day!”
How do you feel you share the spirit of our legendary mountains? “Being able to share my 55 plus years of experiences here at the resort and the overall area with guests and staff who are newly experiencing these mountains.”
Of the four company values (Prioritizing Purpose, Honoring Authenticity, Cultivating Collaboration, Embracing Empowerment), which of these resonate most with you today? “Prioritizing Purpose resonates with me the most because my natural state leans towards doing what is right for myself, my loved ones, and everyone else.”
What was your favorite vacation, where did you go, what made it special? “An 8-day rafting trip through the Grand Canyon with 14 family members and close friends – getting to share the experience with loved ones was exceptionally special.”
What’s the most interesting fun fact about yourself? “My wife of over 30 years and I grew up in the same neighborhood, but I was afraid to talk to her – it wasn’t until I ran into her in college and was able to muster up the courage to say “Hi.””
What’s your favorite animal and why? “Dogs, dogs, and dogs. They bring so much to the relationship and make everything funner. But, I do like my cat too.”
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? “To be able to fly like an eagle.”
