This month, we’re featuring Deisy Corona, a Food & Beverage all-star whose commitment, leadership, and positivity have shaped the success of her team and our guest experience alike.

Deisy has been a dedicated part of the Palisades Tahoe family for nearly 6 years, contributing in a wide variety of roles across the Food & Beverage department. This past summer, she was enjoying some well-earned time off while working part-time—but when a General Manager position suddenly opened up in August, Deisy didn’t hesitate. She stepped back in full-time, taking the reins at Sun Bowl and helping prepare for the opening of Little Bear Café without missing a beat. Thank you, Deisy, for the energy, care, and leadership you bring to every shift. You make a lasting impact—on your team, on our resort, and on everyone lucky enough to work alongside you.
Fun Facts:
What is the favorite part of your job? “My favorite part of the job is getting to connect with all the different cultures we get to enjoy & find little things we all have in common, from our own coworkers to all the people we get to meet coming into our venues.”
How do you feel you share the spirit of our legendary mountains? “I feel I share the spirit of our mountains by fueling everyone with coffee for there day on the mountain! Also by uplifting my coworkers and finding one thing they feel strongest in to work together as a team.”
Of the four company values (Prioritizing Purpose, Honoring Authenticity, Cultivating Collaboration, Embracing Empowerment), which of these resonate most with you today? “Out of the four company values I resonate most with right now would probably be embracing empowerment. I love to be able to get the teams involved in as much as possible, everyone I work with has a unique strong point and helping them find where they shine the most is one of my favorite parts of working with the team! Like my manager Alyssa always says “knowledge is power” and I stand by that, the more our team is informed the better we can work together to improve ourselves & venues”
What was your favorite vacation, where did you go, what made it special? “My most recent was a small trip to Chicago! Super fun and special because I got to learn a whole different culture and how not to put ketchup on a hot dog. “
What’s your favorite animal and why? “Pandas cause they’re cute and lazy, but also cheetahs because they are so fierce and fast. The confidence they express is amazing!! Two completely different animal choices “
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? “Uhhh I’m not sure probably like teleporting.”
