Please note: a majority of our summer activities open on June 20th including Aerial Tram sightseeing, bungee session, mini golf, and bike rentals. Kids Adventure Camp starts on June 16th and ends on August 23rd.

Palisades Tahoe offers the perfect basecamp for your family’s High Sierra adventure. When you visit Palisades Tahoe, there is plenty to do in The Village or at High Camp, a short and scenic Tram ride away. Take advantage of easy parking while still being a 10-minute drive from Lake Tahoe. We hope your family has a lovely visit to Palisades Tahoe!
Kids Adventure Camp

Starting June 16, Palisades Tahoe’s Kids Adventure Camp will be open to kids ages 5-13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Kids Adventure Camp allows kids to unplug and explore the mountains through interactive activities including hikes, scavenger hunts, Aerial Tram rides, and more. Pricing starts at $160/day, or $700 for five days. 25/26 Ikon Pass holders get a 10% discount with the promo code IKONSUMMERKIDS. Child must be a passholder and pass will be verified at check-in.

In The Village

Bungee Jumping
For kids seeking an adrenaline rush, our bungee jumping experience offers safe, supervised thrills with stunning mountain backdrops. Jumping for five minutes on our bungee trampoline will tire out even the most energetic kid. Price: $15 per person.

Mini Golf
Our 9-hole mini golf course provides the perfect opportunity for friendly family competition while enjoying the fresh mountain air. It’s an activity that works for all ages and skill levels. Price: $10 per person.

Bike Rentals
Rent a bike from The Village Activity Center and head out onto the Olympic Valley Bike Path. Travel along the 2-mile long Olympic Valley Bike Path, which leads into the Truckee River Bike Path paralleling Highway 89 along the shores of the Truckee River. Tahoe City is 5 miles on this scenic and paved path, perfect for kids, bike trailers, or cruiser bikes. Price: varies per age and duration.
High Camp Adventures
Tram Ride – The Journey is Part of the Fun!

Family time in Tahoe is special, and you can take on new heights with our scenic Aerial Tram rides. Kids will feel like they’re flying as they soar above towering pine trees and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the Olympic Valley and Lake Tahoe. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on the Tram, which is a 10-minute ride that departs every half-hour.
25/26 Ikon Pass holders ride free, and a $5 food voucher is included for each purchase of a Summer Sightseeing Aerial Lift Ticket. Lodging guests at The Village at Palisades Tahoe will receive one free Aerial Tram ticket with their reservation to pick up at check-in. Additional tickets for lodging guests are available for 30% off at the front desk. If your family wants to do mini golf and bungee jumping, you can add on these activities for only $5 per person when you buy an Aerial Tram ticket. The Tram will open daily at 10am (weather and conditions permitting), with the first day of summer operations on June 20.
Roller Skate at 8’200 Ft

Welcome to High Camp, reaching 8,200 feet above sea level. Once you reach the top, the adventure continues with free roller skating that combines stunning views with classic fun. Bring your own roller skates or enjoy rentals, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Helmets are available, and all persons under 18 years of age are required to wear a helmet while using the roller rink. Enjoy the perfect combination of sightseeing and play that will have your kids talking about their mountain adventures long after you return home.
Hungry for a lunch break? Check out High Camp BBQ, a local’s favorite. It offers a dining experience unlike any other. Look out over sweeping mountain views while enjoying a ribeye Philly cheesesteak or the Pastrami straight out of the smoker.

Departing from High Camp, The Guided Naturalist Walks are available free of charge and take place every day the Aerial Tram is open. Walk the 1.5-mile High Camp Loop Trail through the meadow and learn about plants, animals, geology, and history. You can choose between two departure times: 11:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
Other hikes are available from High Camp depending on snow melt and access. Check with a Mountain Host before riding the Aerial Tram to get the best idea on what’s open.
For the Thrill Seekers

Looking for a summer adventure unlike anything else in Lake Tahoe? The Tahoe Via Ferrata is one of the most unique outdoor experiences in Lake Tahoe. With steel cables, suspension bridges, and built-in ladder rungs, this guided climbing adventure turns the sheer Tram Face into a fun, safe, and unforgettable ascent.
No prior experience is needed, and routes are designed for a range of comfort levels. If you can hike for a couple of hours, you can climb the Via Ferrata. Tours range from 2 to 4 hours and vary in length, exposure, and elevation gain. Whether you want a quick thrill or a half-day alpine adventure, there’s a route for you.
For the Extreme Hikers and Bikers

The Shirley Canyon Hike starts right here in The Village at Palisades Tahoe. This famous hike boasts waterfalls and wildflowers, ending at Shirley Lake. Please note, that the Shirley Canyon trail is not a beginner hike and bikes are not allowed on this trail.
