Every season brings its share of unforgettable days—but some stand out above the rest. As we launch our winter lift access products, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the four most iconic days from last season—days packed with deep snow, sunshine, community energy, and all-time vibes.
February 15: Deep Turns & Big Love
A surprise powder jackpot and wall-to-wall terrain opening turned this into one of the most legendary days of the season.
Let’s set the scene: It’s the morning after Valentine’s Day, and instead of roses and chocolates, you’re gifted 25 inches of fresh snow on the upper mountain. Love is in the air—but this time, it’s for the powder.

The biggest storm of the season rolled in on February 14th, dropping 13 inches overnight. With storm totals hitting 25 inches and the mountain buried in fresh snow, Mountain Ops spent the entire day digging out and performing avalanche control. That meant upper mountain lifts didn’t open until 2pm—leaving untouched pow just waiting to be devoured the next morning.
On February 15th, the mountain was ready—and so were we.
By 9am, lift lines were buzzing. The sun peeked through the clouds. From Granite Chief to KT-22, the riding was all-time: face shots, bottomless turns, spontaneous cheers echoing from tree lines. It was one of those rare days when everything comes together—fresh snow, full coverage, and the kind of electric energy you only get on a powder day.
Whether you were floating down Broken Arrow or picking your line off Headwall, you knew one thing for sure: You picked the right day.
Why It Mattered
We’re calling February 15 one of the Best 4 Days of the 2024/25 season, not just for the deep turns or the bluebird moments—but because it was a reward for everyone who stayed close to the forecast, stuck around after Valentine’s Day, and stayed ready to drop in. It was a reminder that at Palisades Tahoe, some of the most unforgettable days are the ones you don’t see coming.
