Lake Tahoe GALentine’s Day

Two girls on a chairlift at Palisades Tahoe.

Valentine’s Day is almost here. Ladies, this means it’s time to grab your besties and head to Palisades Tahoe for the ultimate Galentine’s Day celebration. On Wednesday, February 14th, we hope we see you out on the slopes!

How To Prepare: Watch Weak Layers

A ski comedy centered around three women at Palisades? Um, yes, please. Weak Layers was filmed right here at your favorite mountain and it features cameos from all the local legends. You can watch it on Amazon Prime now. It’s the perfect way to get stoked for your ski day.

On the Hill: Ski & Ride Together

Start your Galentine’s Day off right with some quality time on the slopes. Want to stick to the theme? Try to ride Women’s Downhill at Palisades and Ladies Slalom at Alpine in the same day. The Base to Base Gondola will move you between the two mountains with ease.

Capture The Moment: Don’t Forget To Take Photos

Don’t forget to capture the special moments of your Galentine’s Day celebration. Snap photos with your girlfriends against the backdrop of the majestic mountains. You could make it fun and try to take a selfie on ALL of our trails that are named after women (there are a LOT!) or you could stick to some of the favorite spots: The top of Lakeview, the top of Summit, the top of KT-22, and the top of the Palisades.

Sweet Stop: Wildflour Bakery

Indulge in some mid-day delights. Head to the cozy downstairs of Olympic House and grab some world-famous Wildflour cookies. This pick-me-up will get you ready to keep skiing or riding into the afternoon. (If you’re on the Alpine side, Viva Treats is some pretty good competition for delicious cookies).

Make It Fun: Hit The Singles Line

Play a game of speed-dating… Each of you head into the singles line and ride the chairlift with a stranger. Who knows – Maybe you’ll meet someone you weren’t expecting to meet! You can trade stories when you get to the top. If you want to maximize the time you spend with each person, take one of our longer rides: Summit at Alpine or the Resort Chair at Palisades.

Rocker Outdoor Dining with Wine and Champagne

Apres Ski Delight: Wine Down Wednesday at Rocker

Every Wednesday, bottles of wine are 20% off at the newly remodeled Rocker in The Village at Palisades Tahoe. Enjoy delicious food and toast to the friendship and special bond you all share.

Unwind with a Hot Tub Soak

If you booked your lodging at The Village at Palisades Tahoe, you can access one of our 8 outdoor hot tubs. On Valentine’s Day, the hot tub above The Ledge Boardshop will have some cool views of snowcats working on the Red Dog racecourse for the Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup. Hot tubs are the perfect way to unwind and recharge together.
