All About the Winter Games This Weekend

From the slopes to the Village, the spirit of the Winter Games will be alive this weekend at Palisades Tahoe. Not only can you charge downhill just like your favorite Team USA skiers and snowboarders, but the Village will be brimming with excitement as we celebrate Squaw Valley’s legacy and cheer on this year’s competing athletes!

Meander through the Village for plenty of photo ops and to soak in the historic sites of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games held at Squaw Valley, or ride the Aerial Tram to the High Camp and learn more about this historic event at the Olympic Museum.

Toyota Olympic Block Party

The Jumbotron in the Funitel Plaza will be live streaming the Opening Ceremonies and Winter Games from Friday night through Tuesday.

If you didn’t make it Pyeongchang this year, The Village at Squaw Valley is the next best place to watch the Winter Games. Don’t miss the Toyota Olympic Block Party on Saturday for live music, a Ski Team parade, poster signings, Q&A with Olympians Daron Rahlves & Travis Ganong, live coverage of the Men’s Downhill Finals and a fireworks show. The crowd will be fired up rooting for local Tahoe athlete Bryce Bennett as he goes for the Gold in the Men’s Downhill event!

Don’t forget to wear your most patriotic ensemble to show your support for Team USA – you could win Oakley goggles and lift tickets!
