Due to low visibility, the High Traverse and North ridges of Beaver Bowl, Estelle Bowl, and beyond stayed closed yesterday. These classic Alpine Meadows hikes opened first-thing today with bluebird skies and were best hit in the morning. The North-facing slopes stayed cold all day, while other aspects got sun-baked as the day warmed up.
