As temperatures warm and snowmelt intensifies, our grooming teams are hard at work maintaining our existing snowpack with the goal of getting it to last as long as possible. This time of year, we tend to get a lot of questions about *how* grooming works. Here, we’ve compiled the most frequently asked questions to give you more insight into this exciting, challenging operational time in the season:

Operations Update: End of April Expectations

These warm temps sure are getting us excited for summer, but ski season isn’t over yet. At Alpine, we have a little over a week left in the season, while at Palisades, we plan to keep making turns through May 27th (Memorial Day). We want to ski everything as long as possible, so we’re not calling hard closure dates for most chairlifts. When it burns out, that’s when we’ll stop skiing it. Here is our best guess for what might happen.
