As the Ski Skate holiday week in Tahoe wraps up, we are expecting a potentially busy weekend ahead. If you plan to visit over the next few days, please be sure to check the weather & road conditions and be prepared to comply with all current Covid-19 policies while at Squaw Alpine. While some things look different this season, skiing and riding are just as fun as ever. Please bring your patience and enjoy the sport we all love!

The calm before the storm. The Snowledge crew head to the top of Squaw today to get some laps in before the storm. They cruised around the upper mountain and checked out the new Riveria halfpipe.

After starting off socked in and snowing, the mountain went fully blue and turned into spring like conditions! The Snowledge crew skied all of Squaw and did some of the best hikes (Palisades, Granite Peak, etc.). Shot 100% on GoPro.

It’s a holiday weekend! While this is an exciting time to get away and enjoy some skiing, keep in mind that holidays can be busy at Squaw Alpine. Here is what you need to know in order to have an enjoyable, seamless weekend. Our #1 recommendation: Be patient and flexible. This season is a bit different due to Covid-19, but the skiing & snowboarding is still just as fun.

Recently, we have had an exciting amount of snowfall, which has increased demand for skiing/riding at Squaw Alpine, and has attracted many other Californians to come to the area to sightsee and snow play in the North Lake Tahoe area. Since Monday, we have received over 6 feet of snow on the upper mountains! This large amount of snowfall is a welcome gift from Mother Nature, but it also brings some challenges to getting to and opening the mountains.
