150th Day of the Season: Operations Update

Today marks the 150th day of operations during the 2020/21 season, and we are stoked to be the only resort in Lake Tahoe still open for skiing & riding! While we’ve been targeting a May 31 closing date, below-average snowfall and warm and dry conditions mean we will likely close earlier. Here are the latest updates on what to expect.
This Weekend’s Events: Tahoe Truckee Earth Day, Spring Tracks Concert Continues

With more than two feet of snow since last week, the Spring Skiing Capital is living up to its reputation.If you missed out on all the excitement of Cushing Crossing, the Golden Egg Hunt, and the Spring Tracks Concert last weekend, you’re in luck! The fun continues in The Village at Palisades Tahoe on Saturday, April 23rd. Spring Tracks returns to the KT Deck, this time with DJ Paul Oakenfold, and the annual Tahoe Truckee Earth Day is back after a long hiatus.

Silverado Operations Update

Silverado chair opened for the first time this season today, expanding options for skiing & riding even more of our favorite expert terrain.
Silverado is not able to open until there is enough snowpack to build the Oregon Trail access road to the bottom of the lift, which sits at el. 6,808′. With no snowmaking in the zone, this typically requires an above-average amount of snowfall.
