The Palisades Tahoe Athlete team is comprised of some of skiing and snowboarding’s most dynamic competitors. The official Palisades Tahoe athlete team plays a crucial role in embodying the spirit and values of our mountains. Our athletes serve as ambassadors for Palisades Tahoe, representing our commitment to excellence, adventure, and community. If you’re skiing or riding here, you’re very likely to run into someone from our Athlete team! Here’s what the team did at Palisades Tahoe this past month:
If you were out on the hill, there was a good chance you skied past Daron Rahlves (or, realistically, he skied past you). Whether he was shredding the slopes alongside Tom Day and Warren Miller for an upcoming film segment, capturing stunning shots with Jeff Engerbretson during photo shoots, or simply soaking up every moment on the mountain, Daron’s passion for skiing and riding was palpable. Through his engaging GoPro content shared across his social media channels, Daron beautifully captures the essence of our skiing and riding experiences at Palisades Tahoe.

We love it when our athletes give back to the community. Jonny Moseley and Troy Murphy (also known as Donny Pelletier) helped to host the annual Ski for MS event. This event raises awareness, offering both financial and emotional support to families living with Multiple Sclerosis. It’s a wonderful cause that we were glad to be a part of.
Connery Lundin also filmed a handful of days with Warren Miller. We featured Connery in one of our Mountain Surf Reports as well. Plus, Connery is always posting GoPro clips to Instagram, showing off how he shreds stellar conditions all over the mountain. One of our favorite moments with Connery in March was when he acted as a guest judge for our annual Team Palisades Tahoe event, Mighty Mites Crazy Helmet Day.
Speaking of Crazy Helmet Day, one of our Team Palisades Tahoe athletes actually dressed up as Donny Pelletier (Troy Murphy) for their costume. This was hilarious, and a testament to what a big impact the official Palisades Tahoe athletes can have on the up-and-coming Team Palisades Tahoe participants.
Amie Engerbretson has had a busy travel schedule this season, but despite that, in March she still scored some amazing powder day photos (below) and worked on a personal film project that was shot here at Palisades Tahoe and in the backcountry. Amie was also gearing up to deliver a keynote speech for the Mountain Travel Symposium event at Everline Resort — more on that next month!

JT Holmes has been a busy new dad to his daughter, Sloane. JT stayed close to home this month and got to enjoy some all-time conditions. Some of these photos from this month are truly iconic powder day shots. He was also featured in several Mountain Surf Reports and filmed a few days on the hill with Warren Miller.

Jeremy Jones, along with his daughter Mia and son Cass, all filmed with Warren Miller on a gorgeous morning off Granite Chief Peak. Jeff Engerbretson captured some stunning photos of them as well (below). It’s so cool to see both Mia and Cass turning the page as Jeremy mentors them and passes the torch to his kids. The Jones’ legacy is a perfect example of why our mountains are so legendary.
Now, as we enter Winter’s after party, we are excited to be celebrating the Spring Skiing Capital here at Palisades Tahoe. For many of the athletes who are signed to our professional team, this is one of the most cherished, favorite times of the season. They’ll be riding into May along with the rest of us. See you out on the hill!
