This was a February to remember at Palisades Tahoe! Our month-long total was 132″, bringing our season total to over 500″. We hope you enjoyed powder turns, skiing and riding Silverado, and the historic Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup this month.
Fun Facts:
- February 2023 is the 4th month in a row with above-average snowfall.
- We received 11 feet of new snow in February which hasn’t happened since 2019.
- The current storm has delivered over 12 FEET of snow into the beginning of March and there’s snow in the forecast every day starting Saturday.
Powder Turns & the Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup
We hosted the Stifel Palisades Tahoe Cup February 24-26. While some races had brief weather-related delays, we were able to pull this event off without a hitch, despite the massive amounts of snow in the days leading up to the races.
Storms as far as the eye can see
While we’re currently experiencing two clear days, March started with a bang: 38″ in 24 hours. We have more storms on the horizon, with snow in the forecast for the next week. In the meantime, we’re working on digging out the mountain and getting it set up for you! We hope you experience some deep powder turns.
Skiing/riding to Memorial Day or beyond!
The great news is this snow is setting us up for a long season of skiing and riding. We plan to stay open until at least Memorial Day, weather and conditions permitting. There’s a potential that our season could extend beyond May—stay tuned!
