Fun Facts:

What is your favorite part of your job? What keeps you passionate about this mountain/working in the ski industry? “My favorite part of my job is getting to work with all sorts of people across the organization. Since I help everyone with the hiring process, it’s been great to build relationships with people in every department. This has taught me a lot about different aspects of the ski business. My love for the sport and appreciation for this mountain in particular keeps me motivated and passionate about the work I do. Palisades Tahoe a really special and unique place.”

Of the four company values (Prioritizing Purpose, Honoring Authenticity, Cultivating Collaboration, Embracing Empowerment), which of these resonate most with you? “I’d say Cultivating Collaboration resonates the most with me. Running a ski resort is the ultimate team sport, and without everyone working together we couldn’t do what we do each day. I try to uphold this value by having open communication and helping out with whatever needs to get done.”

How do you feel you share the spirit of our legendary mountains? “I feel like I share the spirit through our employee experience. Through overseeing our international worker programs, I get to share the spirit with people from all over the world who otherwise might not ever get to experience it.”

What’s your favorite run at Palisades Tahoe and why? “Tough question, but I’d say Tram Bowl to Kima’s Paw when Silvy’s open. On a normal day, Chute 75.”

What’s something guests or your colleagues in other departments might not realize about your job? “Probably the classic question from guests of “What do you do in the summer?”. As many fellow employees know, summer and fall is my busy season.”

What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you? “I had an article published in the Denver Post when I was 11.”

If you could trade jobs with anyone at the resort for a day, who would it be? “Lots of fun ones but I’d say Lift Operator, I’d be excited about trading the computer for some time out on the mountain for a day.”

Share a favorite/funny memory from working here! “It’s got to be getting out there on pow days for some morning skiing with the team!”

If you could instantly learn a new skill, what would it be? “Maybe being great at basketball? It’d be pretty fun to be elite at scoring and get to dunk on people.”
