It’s still cool for Thursday behind the unsettled pattern over the West over the past week. Highs in the 40s to near 50 degrees down at the base.
Quiet Pattern:
We are heading into a quiet pattern through next Thursday, the 24th. We expect mostly sunny skies each day. Highs in the 50s to near 60 degrees down at the base.
Possible Weak Systems:
Between the 25th – 27th, the long-range models are showing a trough pushing in over the West Coast. That would bring in some cooler air and open the storm door. But it’s late April, and there aren’t many ways left for big storms to spin up in the eastern Pacific.
We may see a weak system move through with showers during this period. The ensemble mean models show light precipitation totals through the last week of April. We’ll keep an eye on this period to see if a weak system or two could move through before the end of the month.
End of the Month:
The end of the month looks drier on the latest model runs. We’ll keep an eye on the weather through then.
