Dry and Warm Pattern:
High pressure will continue to build over the region into the 2nd weekend in May, and into early next week. That will bring us a dry pattern with mostly sunny days.
High temperatures warming into the 50s on the upper mountain and 60s on the lower mountain Thursday and Friday. Then 60s and 70’s over the weekend into early next week.
Long-Range Outlook:
We will have to see if the mountain stays open beyond the warm weekend. If we stay open an additional week, the long-range models are showing a pattern shift during the 3rd week of May.
That would bring us some cooler temperatures will highs dropping into the 50s by the end of next week into the 3rd weekend in May. It could also open the door to weak systems moving through the region, bringing us some showers.
Any storms that move through will likely have high snow levels, with mainly rain showers expected on the mountain. We’ll monitor any potential storms as they get closer, and if the mountain remains opens.
