Sliding into Closing Weekend

Closing Week Weather:

This will be the final forecast for the 2025-26 ski season with the closing weekend coming up this week.

We saw a cold front move through on Sunday bringing us a cooler start to the week, with Monday only seeing highs into the 50s at the base and 40s up top, along with breezy and cool northeast winds.

The rest of the weekend into the weekend, we expect to slide into the end of the season with seasonal spring weather. Mostly sunny days with highs into the 60s for the lower elevations, and 50s for the higher elevations. Maybe hitting 70 degrees in the Village for closing weekend.

Final Season Stats:

We saw a final snowfall total of 363 inches on the upper mountain, with less at the base. That is around 85% of the seasonal snowfall average. It was a strange season with a late start, a big finish to December, a big start to January, a huge storm mid-February, and an above average April. But with 30+ day dry periods in between those storms, and a record warm March.

Here is the snowfall breakdown by month in inches:

  • Oct – 7″
  • Nov – 16″
  • Dec – 79″
  • Jan – 52″
  • Feb – 124″
  • Mar – 0″
  • Apr – 84″
  • May – 1″

It was a frustrating season at times, but we saw some great powder days and some very deep days. Overall one of the stranger ways we’ve gotten to 85% of average that I can remember.

We will resume storm forecasts in the fall as we get ready for the next ski season. Hopefully it will bring us above average snowfall, and no 30+ day dry spells or record warm months. See you then!
