Things have really become quiet after the beginning of the month’s storms. Any signs of troughs and weak systems are dissipating as we get closer, and the forecast is very dry for the time being.
We have sunny and mild days this week with highs into the 60s for the lower elevations and 50s for the higher elevations. We will cool down a little for the weekend of the 12th – 13th, with high temperatures dropping around 10 degrees. But then rebounding next week with highs back close to 60 degrees at the base.
Some models show a few weak systems possibly brushing us beyond mid-month. But at best right now it looks like just a few showers from each. Overall, through the 24th, the ensemble mean models show mostly high pressure over the West, with near to above-average temperatures and below-average precipitation.
There won’t be much to post about unless a storm shows up in the forecast. But I’ll be watching daily…
