More Sunny Days Ahead

The Week Ahead:

The weather isn’t expected to change much for the upcoming week. Expecting some high clouds again for Monday and then mostly sunny skies the rest of the week through the upcoming weekend. Highs into the 40s on the lower mountain and 30s up top. The winds look fairly light through Thursday.

Friday a dry cold front moves through cooling us only a few degrees. But we could see gusty northeast winds Friday with ridgetop gusts up to 80+ mph. That could close some upper mountain lifts Friday. Then the winds should come down over the weekend.

Long-Range:

The dry pattern continues into the week of the 24th. The pattern may begin to shift around the 28th into the first week of February, with the high-pressure ridge shifting farther away from the West Coast. That could start to at least allow some weak systems into the northern Sierra the last few days of the month and hopefully some wetter systems the first week of February.

We will continue to watch the weather pattern trends for a pattern that could open the northern CA storm door back up. We will keep you updated and let you know as soon as we see fresh snow returning.
