It was a momentous day for Palisades Tahoe on Saturday, December 17th. After more than 70 years of dreaming about connecting two legendary valleys, the Base to Base Gondola opened to the public for the first time. After a full day of operations that included giveaways, free mountain tours from The North Face Mountain Guides, and live music at our snow beaches, the Base to Base celebration finished off with a huge concert. Aluna and Dillon Francis performed — for free — and we wrapped it all up with an unforgettable fireworks display.

This winter, the skiing and snowboarding experience at Palisades Tahoe will be elevated to a whole new level. From the game-changing Base to Base Gondola to the exciting new benefits for Ikon Pass Holders, this is sure to be a season to remember. Remember, to qualify for all of these benefits, you need to have a valid 2022-23 Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass and you need to bring it with you. If you forgot your pass, we can print it for you at one of our Ticket & Pass Offices.

Palisades Tahoe is unique in that it offers a dual mountain experience at one legendary resort.
