Operations Update: April 9-10

Today’s Conditions: April Powder

Following a 28″ storm total with cold temperatures, we had another awesome day of skiing and riding Spring powder. In case you missed it, the untouched Silverado zone opened at 9am with Gates 3-9 and looked like this:

The skiing at Alpine Meadows was top-notch as well. All lifts opened on time except for Alpine Bowl Chair, which needed to be dug out (once again) before opening in the afternoon:

The Week Ahead

Update on Red Dog

Today crews began repairs on the Red Dog communication line that was damaged in last week’s high winds. The new line section is in place, but still needs to be tensioned and connected while mechanical staff works to take down the damaged line. The Red Dog Chair could be up and running as early as Wednesday.
