Palisades Tahoe is the place to be this Memorial Day. Drop in on prime spring skiing and snow conditions, and stick around for more excitement. There’s a stacked lineup of events and live music including the vibrant Made in Tahoe Festival, the Alpine Chalet Closing Party, and more to keep the fun going after the lifts stop. Lift Operations

Be sure to check out our new spring and summer operating schedule for more information on lift operations. Better yet, download the Palisades Tahoe Mobile app for real-time updates in the palm of your hand.

  • Lifts are open 8am -2pm
  • Weekend Hours: Palisades and Alpine will both be open Friday-Monday
  • May 29th will be the last day of skiing and riding for the season on the Palisades side
  • Alpine will be open Friday-Sunday in June, until the 4th of July

WEATHER & CONDITIONS

We received over 60 feet of snow since October, gifting us an unforgettable spring season of playful slush, fresh corn, and winding wiggles. We’re expecting mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s with a slight chance of rain, so pack your layers and prepare for cool alpine evenings. Sunscreen, shades, skis, and smiles are highly encouraged.

Tips for a Great Day in the Mountains

1. IF YOU HAVEN’T BOUGHT A TICKET YET, DO IT NOW.

Save up to $20 when you buy your ticket online in advance. Buy your ticket here

2. DOWNLOAD THE PALISADES TAHOE APP

Exclusive offers and prizes, parking hot tips, and the most up-to-date information, right at your fingertips. Grab your crew and download the app today for your best adventure yet. Get real-time updates, track your progress, compete with friends, earn rewards, and more.

3. ARRIVE EARLY

Lake Tahoe is a popular Memorial Day destination! Get to the mountain early to avoid holiday traffic and get the most out of your day on the hill. Lifts open at 8am.

4. CARPOOL

Not only does this help with traffic reduction and lowering carbon emissions, but carpooling also helps to ensure that you will get a spot, as we have filled up on holidays in the past. Our A Lot is a first-come, first-serve carpool parking lot for those who are very prompt.

5. CONSIDER BIKING TO AND FROM PALISADES TAHOE

The bike path from Tahoe City along the Truckee River is an awesome method of summer transportation that, again, will help with traffic reduction. Plus, you can rent bikes at Parallel in The Village at Palisades Tahoe. If you don’t want to bike home, you can take advantage of the TART bus, which stops at Palisades Tahoe every half hour.

6. STAY HYDRATED

Upper Mountain at Palisades Tahoe is located 8,000 feet above sea level, and the summer sun can be strong. Bring a reusable water bottle and refill at one of our many water fountains at Gold Coast and in The Village at Palisades Tahoe.

7. WEAR SUNSCREEN & SUNGLASSES

California sunshine is strong in summer, especially at higher altitudes. Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and your goggles or shades.

8. WAX YOUR SKIS & SNOWBOARD

Snow tends to be sticky this time of year and you will want the extra layer of wax to help you maintain speed. Stop by one of our tuning stations to freshen up your gear.

9.  BRING WARM LAYERS FOR THE EVENING

While the daytime weather will most likely be warm and sunny, temperatures in Lake Tahoe often drop into the 40s at night in the summer. If you’re sticking around after sundown, bring a few extra layers to stay warm as the sun goes down.
