Weekend Preview at the Spring Skiing Capital

Final Weekend at Alpine Meadows

Cheers to a fantastic season at Alpine Meadows! From Opening Day powder in November to the snowiest month on record (282″ in January 2017) to April powder days, we have skied some of Alpine’s best conditions ever this year:

And there’s one more weekend to get your turns in at Alpine Meadows! Join us this Saturday and Sunday for spring skiing from 8:30am-2pm followed by après parties on the deck in the afternoon. Here’s a look at what will be spinning at Alpine:

  • Summit Six: 8:30am-2pm
  • Sherwood Express: 8:30am through mid-morning (access via High Traverse only)*
  • Scott: Mid-morning through 2pm*

*Ski patrol will decide when Sherwood closes and Scott opens based on snow conditions each day

Squaw Valley will be operating 9am-4pm. Check the app or lift status page for what’s running.

Unstrap your boards and stick around on the sundeck to cheers this awesome season at Alpine Meadows! Après celebrations include live music from 1-4pm, BBQ food, and drink specials from Sam Adams and Kona Longboard. We’ll be dancing to the live jams of Mescalito on Saturday and All Good Funk Alliance on Sunday. And look out for free swag giveaways on Sunday!

If weather doesn’t cooperate, music and festivities will be moved inside to the Main Lodge.

Spring Skiing at Squaw Valley

It’s always bittersweet to close out the season at one mountain, but we’ll be operating Squaw Valley 9am-4pm daily through May, weekends in June, July 1-4 and beyond!

Weekend Theme: Hot Dog the Movie

This weekend’s theme is Hot Dog the Movie, which took place right here at Squaw Valley. So don your silliest 80s ski garb and skinny skis to spice up the spring slopes. And don’t forget to share your photos & videos with #SpringSkiingCapital for a chance to win Oakley goggles and sunglasses!
