Weekend Preview at The Spring Skiing Capital

From first chair to après, there’s plenty of fun to be had this weekend at the Spring Skiing Capital. Here are some highlights:

Spring Conditions Return

After a few stormy days and 9″ of new snow this week, spring skiing and riding conditions return for the weekend! The NOAA forecast calls for sunny skies and warm temperatures with highs in the 50s. Dress in layers and wax your boards because it will get warmer as the day goes on. And don’t forget your sunglasses and sunscreen.

22 Foot Superpipe

Tahoe’s only 22′ superpipe is at Gold Coast and it has been going off! Renowned athletes from across the country as well as local shredders have been flocking to Squaw Valley to hit the pipe. Come check out the superpipe and all of our other terrain park features at both mountains.

Weekend Theme: Neon

The theme of the weekend is neon, so get out your flashiest, brightest neon gear for the slopes and afterward. All lime green, electric blue and hot pink, orange and yellow gear and accessories are highly encouraged. Check out the full lineup of weekend themes here.

The Ice Bar

If you’re skiing at Alpine Meadows this weekend, be sure to make a pit stop at the Ice Bar. Tucked away on the backside of Alpine Meadows near the base of Sherwood Chair, this local favorite is the perfect place to pull off the slopes, kick back and soak in the sun. Unwind in lounge chairs with a can of beer and hot barbecued bratwurst and enjoy the feeling of being completely away from it all. Don’t forget sunscreen!
Final Weekend of Alpine’s Spring Music Series

Don’t miss the final weekend of FREE live music on the Alpine Meadows sundeck! This weekend will feature après music by Northern California Reggae Rock Band Lumanation on Saturday and the rock jams of Scarlet Moon on Sunday. Details>>
