It’s a holiday week and the snow is stacking up! We have awesome events on the agenda for all ages including fireworks, 8 days of the KT Bass Bar, Disco Tubing and Kid’s Club. The holidays can be busy at Palisades Tahoe, and we want you to have an enjoyable, seamless trip. Here’s the best info to know before you go!
CONDITIONS
Storm cycles are back on schedule for February! We are stoked that we have started received 31″ inches of powder since Wednesday night. The biggest snowstorm of the year is currently underway with skies looking to clear by the weekend, which is great timing for the holiday week ahead.
PARKING RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FEBRUARY 15TH – 17TH & 22ND – 23RD, HERE’S HOW TO GET TO THE MOUNTAIN:
- Limited free and $30 reservations are still available, secure your spot at parkpalisadestahoe.com
- Avoid arriving right at 9 am. Arrive earlier (7–8:30 am) or later (closer to 12 pm). Parking reservations are not required if you arrive after 1 pm.
- Don’t leave at 4 pm. Stick around for après-ski fun like the KT Bass Bar or evening events. Otherwise, leave by 2:30 pm to avoid traffic.
- Alternative ways to get here:
- Mountaineer is a free public transport option within Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows that can be summoned by an app. Request your ride and get picked up in a 4WD, dog-friendly van that seats up to nine passengers.
- Park and Ride offers free shuttles from Truckee or Tahoe City to The Village every weekend through April 13, 2025. Start: 6:30–7:45 am; Return: Until 5:45 pm.
- TART local bus offers free daily service from Truckee and Tahoe City to Olympic Valley. Call 530-550-1212 for schedule info.
- Sherwood Shuttle has free West Shore shuttle services to Alpine (Sat/Sun only, weather permitting). First shuttle: 8:30 am; Last return: 4:00 pm.
If you have flexibility for a midweek trip, parking is not required February 18th – 21st. Midweek skiing is an awesome way to enjoy the mountain with less crowds.
EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Check out our exciting mix of events from fireworks, featured DJs, Kid’s Club, legendary Disco Tubing, and Sunset Happy Hour. On February 22, Palisades Tahoe is thrilled to host DJ Logic. As one of the world’s most accomplished turntablist’s, DJ Logic is widely credited for introducing jazz into the hip-hop realms and is considered by most as a highly respected session musician and an innovative bandleader.
Sunset Happy Hour | February 15th – 19th
Enjoy stunning sunset views at 8,200′ while sipping happy hour drinks and savoring delicious food specials.
Live Music at KT Bass Bar | February 15th – 22nd
Enjoy 8 straight days of après-ski with live beats at the KT Base Bar Deck. Check out DJ Logic, CFLO, and DJ KA5 for a nonstop party.
Fireworks | 7pm, February 16th
Celebrate with viewing fireworks from the KT Deck at 7pm.
Kid’s Club | February 14th – 23rd
Kids can enjoy magic shows, movies, and balloons. Kid’s Club is free for hotel guests and $10 for non-hotel guests. Located in the Palisades Tahoe Conference Room neat across from The Village at Palisades Tahoe Front Desk.
Disco Tubing | February 14th – 16th & 22nd – 23rd
Slide down illuminated tubing lanes with vibrant LED lights and live DJ beats!

- Palisades Tahoe has a range of food outlets that will satisfy and delight any eater. Enjoy classic ski offerings and healthy, fusion offerings including poke, ramen, and curries.
