Every season brings its share of unforgettable days—but some stand out above the rest. As we launch our winter lift access products, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the four most iconic days from last season—days packed with deep snow, sunshine, community energy, and all-time vibes.
These are the days that define what it means to ski and ride at Palisades Tahoe.
December 15: Deep Turns & Tahoe Tunes
Some days are good. Some are great. And then there are days like December 15, 2024—where everything at Palisades Tahoe lined up just right.
Let’s set the scene: After a storm system dropped 13 inches of fresh snow on December 14 (7 of which fell overnight), the mountain woke up to another 5 inches on the 15th. That brought the 24-hour snow total to 17 inches on the upper mountain. And just as the storm moved out, the sun broke through, giving us a bluebird sky and absolutely dreamy conditions. No wind, caked trees, and soft, carvable powder from top to bottom—it was the kind of day skiers and riders dream about.
Whether you were lapping KT, floating through freshies in Granite Chief, or taking in the Sierra views from Gold Coast, it was a full-body reminder of why we chase winter. Powdery turns, cozy lift rides, and that unmistakable feeling that you picked the day to be on the mountain.
Tahoe Live Transformed Olympic Valley
As if the day on the hill wasn’t enough, the energy ramped up once the lifts stopped spinning. Tahoe Live, our signature winter music event, turned the parking lot into a snow-covered concert venue—complete with booming sound, big-name artists, and an electric crowd bundled up and dancing under the lights.
The fresh snowfall added an extra touch of magic. Trees around the venue were coated in white, the air was crisp, and the whole scene felt like a dream sequence from your favorite snow film. It was après-ski in its highest form—equal parts celebration, community, and winter wonderland.
Even if you didn’t hit the concert, you could feel the energy in the air. The village was buzzing, the stoke was high, and people lingered longer—sharing stories from the day and soaking it all in.

Why It Mattered
We’re calling December 15 one of the Best 4 Days of the 2024/25 season, not just for the conditions or the concert, but for the feeling it gave everyone here. It was a day that showcased everything Palisades Tahoe is about—legendary terrain, wild weather magic, vibrant après, and a mountain culture that shows up in full force when it matters most.
