There’s plenty to do off the slopes during this holiday season at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Whether you’re looking for family activities, or a way to relax before the New Year, we’ve got you covered.
Ice Skating
For a high altitude adventure, hop on the Aerial Tram and head up to 8200′ for some ice skating at High Camp. This fun activity is a great way to get outside and take in the panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and surrounding mountains from high above the valley floor.
Snow Tubing & Mini Snowmobiles
Looking for more adventure? Stop by SnoVentures, located at the base of Squaw Valley, for your one stop shop to all things family fun. With three tubing lanes, you have the choice of heading down solo or racing your family members for bragging rights. For the younger kids (ages 6-12), there are minisnowmobiles available to take out on the track. Once you’re all done, be sure to stop in the SnoVentures Lodge to warm up and kick your feet up for a bit.
Wanderlust Yoga Studio
On a more relaxing note, visit the Wanderlust Yoga Studio, located in the Village, for a peaceful retreat from the holidays with a yoga lesson. The studio offers various classes throughout the week, which you can sign up for in advance or drop in. Each class is taught by local instructors, who will help you find your breath during the busy holiday season. We’ll also be hosting a variety of holiday yoga workshops to kick-start your New Year’s resolution.
