Squaw Valley Weekend Operations

- NOAA has issued a special weather statement with forecast strong winds and gusts of 55mph, which could impact lift operations
At a minimum we anticipate winds may impact the operation of Bailey’s Beach, Mountain Meadow, Belmont and Emigrant for Saturday – Squaw Valley Dispatch Operations Team

Alpine Meadows Weekend Operations

Weather Update
Saturday will be slightly cooler with highs topping out around 40. As the next storm approaches winds will continue to increase, with upper mtn gusts to 55 mph.
Saturday night a cold front moves through with light snow associated with it. The snow should taper off by Sunday morning with clearing skies on Sunday. Much colder air will be behind the front with highs only in the 30’s for Sunday and maybe only the upper 20’s on the upper mtn.
Total snowfall by Sunday morning could be 1-3 inches at the base, and 2-4 inches on the mountain. This should be a cold dry powder to add a quick refresh to the slopes. – Bryan Allegretto, Official Weather Blogger
