Palisades Tahoe will be opening on November 22 and we are so ready. Though the big storms haven’t begun – yet – we’ve planned an eventful opening day and have been working hard to make sure that it’s a memorable one. There will be food trucks, live music, and other festivities in The Village at Palisades Tahoe as well as select operations open and running this Wednesday.
Skiing & Snowboarding Operations
Opening Day | November 22
- First Venture: Open daily on the Palisades side from 9am-4pm starting November 22
- Food & Drink: We’ll be offering beer & wine on Friday and Saturday, as well as food truck eats and Euro Snack from 11am-4pm
- Live Music & Fun: Join us for DJs, firepits, lawn games and fun from 1:30-4:30pm
Opening Weekend | November 25-26
- Treeline Cirque: Open daily on the Alpine side from 9am-4pm starting Saturday, November 25
- Base to Base Gondola: open for Saturday and Sunday only this weekend from 9am-4pm. It will continue to be Saturday/Sunday only through December 8th.
- Palisades Kids School: Palisades Kids will be open for lessons.
The Village at Palisades Tahoe & Alpine Lodge Operations
- Rental Shops: The Rental Shop at Palisades will be open daily starting at 8am on Wednesday, November 22nd. The Rental Shop at Alpine will be open daily starting at 8am on Saturday, November 25th.
- Aerial Tram: The Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram will be open from 10am-3pm to the public for sightseeing Wednesday, November 22nd through Sunday, November 27th for the time being.
- NEW Restaurant: Granite Pizza at High Camp will be open Friday-Sunday from 11am-3pm.
- Alpine Lodge: Meadows Cafe will be open 8-9:30am for breakfast, and 10:30-3pm for lunch. Alpine Bar will be open 9am-5:30pm. The Chalet will be open 9am-4pm with a limited menu.
Upcoming Events and Activities
The fun doesn’t stop on the slopes – we’ve got a lineup of exciting events and activities planned throughout the season. If you don’t feel like cooking this Thursday, we’ll be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner event in the Olympic House with sittings at 2:30pm and 5:30pm.
After that, starting on Friday, we’ll be ringing in the holidays with our annual Welcome to Winter event. Join us – and Santa – for a weekend of events to kick off the season! Photos with Santa will be available during specific time slots listed on the event page.
On Saturday, we’re hosting our first ever Bubbles & Brews Series that celebrates winter’s return with a tantalizing blend of bold flavors, featuring Chandon Sparkling from Napa Valley and local brewery selections thoughtfully paired with delectable appetizers. Ikon Pass holders save on this event, so don’t miss out.
The fun doesn’t stop there. From après-ski parties at our cozy slopeside lodges to snowshoeing adventures and family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Keep an eye on our event calendar for the latest updates and be sure to join us for the festivities!
Reminders For Your First Day on the Slopes
- Parking will not be needed on opening day. Remember to set up your profile on parkpalisadestahoe.com to reserve your parking spots for the upcoming season! Free parking reservations launch Tuesday, November 28. Paid parking spot reservations are available to book now. Plan for the Weather
It will be warmer the first two days we open, but cold and clear over the weekend. Bring layers, and definitely don’t forget sunglasses.
- Wednesday, November 22nd: Partly sunny with temperatures up to 50 degrees
- Thursday, November 23rd: Sunny with a high up to 40 degrees
- Friday, November 24th: Sunny with a high of 31 degrees
- Saturday, November 25th: Sunny with a high of 32 degrees
- Sunday, November 26th: Sunny with a high of 36 degrees
Looking Ahead
As we get into it, we’ll be bringing some of the biggest headlining artists right to the base of Palisades Tahoe. On December 15th and 16th, REZZ and DJ Diesel aka Shaquille O’Neal will be standing on and towering over the main stage for an iconic and new to Olympic Valley, Tahoe Live event.
